Peak Toolworks | Community Involvement

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Peak Toolworks joined supporters across the nation for a St. Jude Walk/Run virtual event during Childhood Cancer Awareness month raising money for research and the kids of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, where families never receive a bill.

Cancer remains the leading cause of death by disease for children under the age of 14. St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

1. 43 children in the U.S. are diagnosed with cancer every day.

2. Worldwide, at least 300,000 children and adolescents are diagnosed with cancer each year.

3. Approximately 10% of children with cancer develop the disease from an inherited genetic mutation.

The Peak Toolworks Team helped raise money for St. Jude’s and got out to exercise. As we worked on our health, every step stood with St. Jude because they create more clinical trials for cancer than any other children’s hospital and turn laboratory discoveries into lifesaving treatments. St. Jude freely shares the discoveries it makes. Every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.

Peak Toolworks did a fundraiser for Mission 22. All facilities participated and Peak employees raised 289 flags at the memorial. Above all, it honored the fallen.

Also, Mission 22 memorials are dedicated to the fallen warriors of nearly every major conflict.

In times of crisis, our company comes together to help support our communities. So during the catastrophic hurricane season of 2017, Peak Toolworks matched every dollar donation made by employees. As a result, we were able to provide assistance for families affected by this devastating natural disaster.
